Baby Shower Game Ideas

Great Ideas for your Baby Shower

Baby showers should be as unique as possible but they should also be interesting and fun. There are many options available for the planner and the host and they do not need to be time consuming or expensive. In fact, the simpler the game being played the better. It lingers in the guests mind longer and they can even play it with their children. Simple games are able to create lasting memories that can be passed on from one generation to the next. An example is the rice game. This involves the use of a bowl full of rice and safety pins. The main aim of this game is to find the most number of safety pins in 30 seconds using only your fingers only while blindfolded. The person that finds the most number of pines is the winner. To make the game more interesting the pins should not be the smallest size available and the prize should be worth fighting for in order to keep the game interesting.

A simple game is guess the mom's tummy size. Have each woman pull the yarn to the size they believe would fit perfectly around the Mother-To-Be's center of her pregnant tummy. After everyone cuts their string, compare the results to the Mommy-To-Be's actual tummy. Give a prize to the woman who is the most close! This is a baby shower favorite.

Another game that can be played is known as ring around the pumpkin. Here, hula-hoops are used to target the pumpkins that are located at a distance. This is a variation of the horseshoe game but it is more difficult and amusing to play. The team that is able to get the most hoops on the pumpkins in the shortest time wins. The skittle game involves scoring points based on the color of skittles that is picked the skittles are placed in an opaque container and each color has a corresponding score attached to it. The guests are then divided into teams that pick out the skittles then get awarded the relevant points. They get to eat the skittles but the team with the highest score gets the prizes on offer.

Sardines is a variation of hide and seek. One guest is known as the hider. They hide then the other guests seek. Once a guest finds the hider, they join them at their hiding place and so on until there is only one person that is left seeking. This then becomes the hider and the game continues.
